At Revis Law Group, we deal primarily with criminal defense and family law matters. We believe in approaching a case holistically. Every client is more than the reason they are in our office and we strive to make clients voices heard through the pendency of a case. Navigating the legal system can be challenging and stressful so we aim to make the process as straightforward as possible. If you need experience, well-rounded lawyers, you've come to the right place!

Elliet grew up in North Idaho and moved to Alaska after law school. He has a distinctive blend of legal expertise and a deep foundation in the written word. He earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Idaho College of Law, building a strong grounding in legal analysis, advocacy, and client-focused representation.
Elliet is especially passionate about criminal defense, where he is committed to protecting the rights of individuals and ensuring every client receives a strong, thoughtful defense. He previously served with both the Office of Public Advocacy and the Public Defender Agency, gaining extensive courtroom experience and representing clients in a wide range of cases from the most minor of misdemeanors to the most serious of felonies. He ultimately made the difficult decision to transition from public defense to private practice, bringing with him the same dedication to justice and client advocacy.
Before pursuing law, Elliet cultivated his passion for language and storytelling through a Bachelor of Arts in Creative Writing from Washington State University (Go Cougs!). He later continued his education by pursuing graduate studies at Southern New Hampshire University, where he earned a Master of Arts in Creative Writing. He is currently completing his Master of Fine Arts in the same field. This unique academic path sharpens his ability to communicate clearly, think creatively, and approach legal challenges with both precision and insight.
Elliet brings a thoughtful, articulate approach to his practice, combining rigorous legal training with a nuanced understanding of narrative and perspective—skills that are invaluable in crafting compelling arguments and advocating effectively for clients.
He lives in Wasilla, Alaska, with his two dogs, and continues to pursue both his legal career and his passion for writing.

John is a born and raised Alaskan and combat veteran who served 10-years in the U.S. Coast Guard. John’s primary work in the military focused on environmental response and pollution investigations. John responded to the Deepwater Horizon Oil Spill in 2010, spending 8-months on the Gulf Coast. He then deployed to Afghanistan in 2014 as part of a RAID team, where he embedded with the U.S. Army to perform hazardous material inspections prior to shipping materials and equipment back to the United States. While deployed, John also enrolled in an online bachelor’s program through American Military University, ultimately receiving his Bachelor of Environmental Science after returning state-side in 2015.
John separated from the Coast Guard in 2016 when he enrolled in law school at the University of Idaho. John received his J.D. in 2019 with a focus in environmental law. After leaving law school, John returned to Alaska where he began his law career working in indigent criminal defense, gaining valuable trial experience by successfully defending both misdemeanor and felony cases throughout Alaska. John eventually expanded his work into civil law, where he worked on divorce, child custody, landlord/tenant and probate matters. He ultimately decided open Revis Law Group in 2024 where he could continue his long career of serving and supporting Alaskans.
John now lives in Wasilla. When not building his off-grid cabin in the woods, in his spare time John enjoys rock climbing, painting, and woodworking.

Kennedy is an avid acapella enthusiast, his dedication to his craft ensure that rehearsal time is any time. Our excellent paw-ralegal works hard at his job of snuggling and providing a good laugh to the firm's partners. He investigates every smell thoroughly, ensuring no stone goes unturned. When he isn't working, Kennedy enjoys keeping up with the neighborhood activities, napping, and exercising his built in springs. Whether he is a cat or a dog remains unconfirmed and largely open for debate.

Zodiac - affectionately nicknamed Baby Z - is the real supervisor of the firm. He insists on his involvement in all firm social activities and is an expert in expressing his opinions. No one will feel like they are unable to advocate for themselves after a conversation with him. When he isn't working, Zodiac loves to play "the floor is lava" and "how many times can I squeak this squeaker?" His dog status is solidly confirmed but based on his vocabulary, he is easily confused with an argumentative toddler.

Because we get so many questions about our fluffy support staff, we didn't want to just delete the section about our girl. On March 2, 2026 after battling with diabetes and kidney failure, our baby girl crossed the rainbow bridge. Our whole firm was heartbroken by the loss and we miss her dearly. She was the best grumplestumps anyone could ask for and our house is far too quiet without her.
Spirit's hobbies included eating everything in sight and moonlighting as the local tsunami alert system. Our enthusiastic paw office assistant worked hard to ensure everyone was always on time, even if it was only for meal times, and made sure to let the firm's partners know promptly when people arrived for meetings.
